Some of you, who follow me on social media, might have noticed that for the last 6 months I have been working on a few projects. I am ready to officially announce the first one.

Together with a friend of mine, I started a new business, Melody Lane, a clothing store that is focused on making sure that women in all stages of their lives have access to comfortable, affordable and most importantly versatile clothing. (see below on details of a $500 giveaway!)

Pregnancy, motherhood, nursing, party, fitness, vacation, career, school – it’s amazing how many stages we go through as women that require a completely different wardrobe. So our goal is to offer clothing with versatility and affordability in mind. Items you could wear for several occasions and during several stages of your life. Clothing that is comfortable, yet still looks good, because I have to admit that since becoming a mother, comfort trumps looks, however I still want to look good.

I love my new hair!

This is the FIRST haircut I have been in love with in the last 3 years.
I’ve always been a fan of long blonde hair and yet every few years is go short and sometimes darker.

Last week I went into the salon to cut off my damaged ends and in the spirit of trying new things, convinced my stylist to go dark and short.

Obviously not too dark and not too short but enough to feel new. And with bangs.

For the past few days I’ve been slowly falling even more in love with it. The styling is easy and fun, the bangs help with the accessorizing the face part and the dark color brings out my features and freckles.

These are just the IPhone shots I took while travelling, but I really love how they came out! Something tells me this hair is here to stay… At least until I want something new.

Pink dress, black stars.

The other day we visited the library for a petting zoo and some book reading. Lexi wore her pink Nununu dress from the Spring collection and I swear that she has never received as many compliments on a dress as that day.

It really is so unique, so I wanted to share these photos here, since I don’t do Instagram anymore.

Also I have some iPhone photos to share that I really love, because they show a more real side of our lives, because they get snapped at a moment’s notice.

Goodbye, Instagram!

I deleted my main Instagram account.

It was a pretty rash decision. But one that I’ve been going back and forth on for weeks now.

I know a lot of you really enjoyed connecting with us through Instagram and I have to admit, that was one of the best parts of it for me, too.

But something had to change. As you noticed, I’ve been struggling to write on this blog consistently due to most of my time going to spending time with Lexi and the addition of Daily Mom. I have a lot to share and talk about but only 24 hours a day and a toddler that literally needs me 20 of those 24 hours, as well as a fairly large website to run. So something had to give.

Real Life on Instagram February 2013

This post makes me officially caught up on Instagram posts, so the next one will be month of March! YAY!

I find this segment refreshing, because if you really care to take the time to look through the collages I put together, you can catch a glimpse of our normal life and what it looks like ( the highlights of it, of course)

In February we visited Disney for the last time till the fall, since the crowds start coming in right after that. It was one of the hardest trips I’ve ever taken with Lexi. I sure do hope I get a chance to post photos and describe the trip, but in the meantime, you can see a glimpse of it in my Instagram photos.

Biergarten, one of our favorite Epcot restaurants since forever, due to the fun atmosphere and its laid back feel. One of the highlights of the trip was Lexi going out onto the dance floor to listen to the Musikanten (spelling?)  and dance. Lexitwin soon followed and they completely melted the whole audience.

Beach trip, infrequent due to the most horrible winter. The gulf can’t warm up since we keep having cold nights and often cold days. So when we do get a chance to go to the beach, it’s a treat.  Lexi is a bit unruly and unstoppable about the water and runs right in, which is makes it hard to take beach trips during colder days.

Here you can get a glimpse of what our normal day-to-day life highlights look like, not just the stuff I choose to post.

I have no comments for these photos, I think they speak for themselves.

A few of my favorites I’d like to point out are:

Alexis struggling to lift my camera.

Alexis studying a Victoria’s Secret catalog and going “Hmmm, I want…. this on!”

Lexitwins sleeping together, on top of each other.
