The last day of 50 days of giveaways – don’t miss it!
I’d like to write a quick post to remind you, guys, that the event meant to celebrate the launch of Daily Mom has come to an end. The last giveaway of the 50 Days of Giveaways has been posted today.
The good news is that you can still enter the last 7 giveaways and hopefully win (fingers crossed). So if you’ve been staying away until now, here’s your last chance.
I am happy and sad that the giveaways are over.
Happy because it was A LOT OF work for me and some of my fellow Daily Mom’ers and the primary reason why I’ve been missing from the blog. So I am very happy to be partially reclaiming my life back and working on other aspects of the website, as well as writing for this blog. I am also glad to be getting back to what Daily Mom was supposed to be, a website designed to help women, posts that enrich and help our lives.
Sad because it was a great event, it was wonderful to hear the excitement from winners and in a small way help women get something nice for free with minimal effort. Once you’ve entered one giveaway, others are a breeze.
So here’s list of the giveaways that are still going and can be entered into. Good Luck!

To Foonf or not to Foonf: Clek makes a kick ass seat!
This is probably the most requested review of all times. And for a good reason.
Clek’s Foonf has been the most hyped and anticipated release of a juvenile product in 2012 and 2013.
I cannot tell you how excited and honored I am to be one of the bloggers to be able to try it out and give you guys my opinion.
As my long time readers already know, our car seat experience has been “interesting”, to say the least. If you’re interested in reading our story of the first few months of constant car screams and our solution, read this post.
To be completely honest, while I was absolutely psyched about trying out Clek’s Foonf, I just couldn’t see how there could be a car seat that would be significant better than our trusty Maxi Cosi.
And it took me a good few months to truly appreciate what sets Foonf apart from all other car seats.
I could spend hours writing about the technical specs of Foonf, talking about the unparalleled safety and the technology behind the seat. It is truly one of a kind convertible seat that can arguably be called “BEST FOR BABY” without being melodramatic.
UPDATE
I am sure you have noticed no new posts for a few weeks.
I’ve been trying to get a massive Skincare routine post out, but it’s taking longer than I expected.
Add to that Lexi’s first cold 2 weeks ago, then roseola virus she caught as soon as she recovered from the cold, then crazy number of guests (My Daily Mom girls and their babies were visiting), then trying to recover from that and finally nearing the end of the 50 Days of Giveaways has left me little time for this blog of mine.
So I figured I’d take the month of May off to regroup, finish off a few things and get caught up on some posts. I’ll be scheduling a ton of posts for June while I am away from the blog to get a bit ahead.
I will post two posts before I “leave”: the skincare post and the Clek review, because I know some readers have been waiting on those.
Otherwise, we are all doing great, working hard, having fun, taking lots of pics and developing, learning and loving. (with an occasional break down here and there on my part from lack or time and too much to do… haha oh life!)

Lexitwin BFF Birthday
We are almost done with the recap of Alexis’ birthday, so it’s the right time to share some photos from her BFF’s birthday, Alexa, aka Lexitwin.
For those who might have missed this, Lexi’s BFF is also a girl named Lexi ( Alexa) with a birthday on the same day (January 31st). They couldn’t be more different from each other, and yet they are so much fun together! They go to music classes together, playgrounds, have playdates, went to Disney together. Basically, it’s a lifelong friendship :)
The name Lexitwin or Lexitwins came about when we started tagging our IG pictures of them together as #lexitwins. So now in order to differentiate which Lexi I am talking about, I use Lexitwin name for Alexa.
The girls had so much fun running around and playing with balloons and gifts and bubbles. See for yourselves!
Sign Language: Update
I know I only recently wrote a post on sign and using sign languages for babies, but it has been getting better and better.
Lexi’s verbal development has taken back seat to her physical development ever since she started walking, so while she keeps adding words to her vocabulary little by little, her use of signs has exploded.
First Birthday Party: Smash Cake
{All photography is by Stacey Downey Photography, editing by The Art of Making a Baby}
The smash cake part was, of course, the best part of the birthday and I am thrilled with the photos that our photographer Stacey took of it. Seriously, some of the best shots and memories of the whole event.
Good Bye Babyhood, Hello Toddler!
I’ve had this post written in my head for MONTHS. Since Alexis started walking full time at 11 months. And it was only now when a reader asked me to write it, did I actually consider putting it “on paper”.
For the past few months I’ve had unexplained joy inside of me. Waking up with Lexi and seeing how she has changed, what a wonderful little person she is becoming, how she is turning into a girl.
Babyhome Spotlight and a girl who apparently “likes to rock”
A few months ago, I had a talk with Babyhome representatives about trying out and writing about all Babyhome’s products. It was a big undertaking on my part, considering I couldn’t use some of them items due to Lexi’s age, but I was curious enough about it and felt like it would help broaden my “baby gear” horizon, as well as hopefully give some of my readers new ideas as to which products might work for them.
After slightly under 6 months of trying some Babyhome products and thoroughly inspecting others, I’d like to present to you this feature.
{and if you’re not in the market for a stroller, a bassinet, a high chair, a side rail or a bouncer, at least check out the video featuring adorable Alexis rocking out on each one of the aforementioned products. She found a way to have fun with them all. Wait for the last product, it was shot more recently and she’s the most adorable there, at 13.5 months}.
